Alan and Dennis Poole

Alan and Dennis Poole are illustrators who can either work as a team or individually. They are able to produce a wide variety of work in different styles to suit the needs of the client. They like to communicate regularly with the client to ensure that the work produced meets the client's requirements. Numerous options (called finished roughs) that explore character design, composition, and colour are presented for the client to look through, and feedback is always welcome. Once the client is happy with the direction the work is going, finished images are presented for approval and, if necessary, further modification.

They work predominantly in the digital medium due to both it's speed and because it is easier to modify work (both finished roughs and final works) in response to client feedback. However, if required, they can work with more traditional media.

Their previous illustration work includes:

-   Two educational comic books for South Pacific Press called The Great Earth Magnet (by Dr. Gillian Turner) and The Man Who Changed the World (by Tony Burnett). These two books are part of the CSI (Comprehension Strategies Instruction) series published by South Pacific Press.

-   Spot illustrations for a Dairy NZ interactive e-book called She's a Natural (by Diana Noonan)

-   Two Choose A Path books for Pikopiko Publishing called The Time Traveller's Treasure (by Alison Condon) and Alone (by Meryl-Lynn Pluck)

-   Illustrations for The New Zealand Olympic Committee.
