Debbie Graham

Predominantly self taught, Debbie has painted for the past eight years and has drawn for as long as she can remember.

Debbie works from her studio on the Kapiti Coast where she devotes valuable time strengthening her artistic skills. Primarily portraiture and figurative paintings have been her passion and focus. Her inspiration comes from what she sees and feels and has, over the past few years, extended both her range of subjects and her style.

Her aim is for her artwork to create an emotional bond with its viewers. She becomes totally absorbed in the process of applying paint to canvas and has the ability to mould her paint in a way that captures the character of her subject.

Debbie has successfully exhibited at The Affordable Arts in 2008 and 2009 and will be exhibiting a larger body of work again this year in July at the NZ Art Show.  Debbie has commissioned paintings for several private collections over the years which have been received favorably and have inspired her to continue on her artistic journey.
