Deidre Ralph

Abstract artist

Deidre Ralph has been painting for around ten years.  Her large, vibrant, abstract works are born from a love of the process of painting and a preference for bold, bright colours. 

Her large areas of bright blocked in colour are contrasted against dark backgrounds and imply complex urban landscapes.

Brushes are used infrequently, as she prefers the boldness of applying paint with the palette knife and even cardboard.

Deidre has exhibited and sold her work in Picton, Porirua and Kapiti to local and international clients. 

Her formal qualification is the Certificate in Visual Arts from Whitireia Polytechnic, Porirua.
