Future Framing and Gallery

Future Framing is a father son partnership based at the Lindale Centre, SH1, Paraparaumu.

Julian, the father, qualified in 1983 with a BA (Hons) in Design, and a Certificate of Education, specialising in woodwork. He has been framing in New Zealand since the family arrived from England in August 2004. Most work has been produced for individuals but he also completed projects which were for the Capital Vision Research Trust which were charity events selling the work of the Dominion Post Photographers.

Ashley, the son in the partnership, is current in his fourth year at Massey University studying for a degree in Photography. Ashley specialises in landscape and architectural photography. He works mainly with medium and large format film. Using film means that he can get exceptionally large quality prints with a much greater tonal range than that of any digital camera. The Gallery is currently displaying a number of his pieces, some of which are featured on this page.

Future Framing also features other local photographer's & sculptor's work, with exhibitions rolling over at regular intervals.

The Photo Restoration side of the business caters for all needs. Ashley can do simple dust and scratch removal for old photographs, can scan slides or negatives and can also restore complete photographs. These restored digital files can now be printed and reframed or just stored for digital sharing.

The Gift Shop next door is not only for tourists stocking a range of exclusive cards and gifts that should also appeal to locals.
