AI Prompts for Best UI/UX Designs
Clean doesn’t have to mean boring. With the right prompts, you’ll go from average to memorable.
Most people use AI tools to build the same boring UIs.
Ask Lovable for a dashboard and you'll get white cards, stock icons, and something that looks like everyone else's work.
That's the problem with generic prompts. You get generic results.
Here's how to get unique UIs to stand out:
1. Start with inspiration
Do a quick Google image search of what you're building (task manager, finance dashboard, whatever). Save 3-5 examples you like - that's your mood board.
2. Be ridiculously specific
Don't just say "make it colourful." Give Lovable details like:
- "Add a header bar with bright accent colour for navigation"
- "Use rounded sans-serif font like Inter for a modern feel"
- "Add subtle drop shadows so cards don't blend into background"
- "Use grid layouts instead of stacking - gives more breathing space"
3. Work layer by layer
Start at the top of the page, then move down. Much easier to guide Lovable this way than fix bland designs later.
4. Use your mood board
Paste those saved images into Lovable. Tell it to "use this style as inspiration."
5. Add micro-interactions (pro users)
Static dashboards are fine, but animations make them feel alive. Grab free Lottie files from IconScout for loading states, hover effects, and success checkmarks.
